Welcome to Neststow (the "App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

Please read this Policy carefully before using the App. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information Collection

1.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identifiers (such as name, email address, or phone number).
• The item data and expiration dates you enter into the App.
• Precise geolocation data.
• Health, financial, or sensitive personal information.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically (Anonymized)

To improve App performance, fix bugs, and enhance user experience, we integrate Firebase Analytics. This tool automatically collects anonymous usage statistics, including:

• Device model and operating system version.
• Screens viewed and buttons tapped within the App.
• App crash reports.
• General geographic region (country/region level only).

This information cannot be used to identify you personally.

1.3 Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

To enhance App stability and promptly resolve crashes, we integrate Firebase Crashlytics. When the App crashes, this tool automatically collects the following technical information:

• Crash logs and stack traces
• Device model and operating system version
• App version number
• Time of the crash

This information cannot be used to identify you personally and is used solely to diagnose and fix technical issues.

1.4 Remote Configuration (Firebase Remote Config)

We use Firebase Remote Config to remotely manage certain configuration parameters of the App, allowing us to optimize features without requiring you to update the App. This service collects anonymous configuration metadata and cannot be used to identify you personally.

1.5 Text Recognition (Google ML Kit)

The App offers text recognition functionality (e.g., extracting text from shopping receipts), powered by Google ML Kit. When you use this feature, ML Kit may collect the following technical data for diagnostics and service improvement:

• Device information (such as manufacturer, model, and operating system version)
• App package name and version
• Performance metrics (such as recognition latency)
• Error codes and event types

This information cannot be used to identify you personally. The recognition process occurs on‑device or via encrypted transmission, and ML Kit does not transfer this data to third parties.

1.6 Subscription Management (RevenueCat)

Subscription functionality within the App is supported by RevenueCat. When you purchase or manage a subscription, RevenueCat collects necessary purchase information, including transaction records and subscription status. This information is used solely to verify your subscription entitlements and provide related services. RevenueCat does not collect your payment details (such as credit card numbers) or sensitive data like health or location information.

2. Information Storage

• Local Storage: All your item data is stored locally on your device by default.
• iCloud Sync: You may choose to enable iCloud sync in the App settings. If enabled, your data will be synced to your personal iCloud account, where it is stored and encrypted by Apple Inc. under its iCloud terms. We cannot access, retrieve, or control your iCloud data.
• Retention Period: Your data remains on your local device or in your iCloud account until you actively delete it within the App or uninstall the App from your device.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

Information may be processed only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: The App integrates Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), Google ML Kit, and RevenueCat. These services collect only necessary technical data or purchase information, none of which can be used to identify you personally.
• Legal Requirements: We may be required to disclose information if compelled by law. Given that we generally do not possess your personal data, you may need to provide relevant information directly from your device.

4. Special Note on Expiry Reminders

The App's reminder functionality relies on your device's local notification system. Delivery of reminders may be affected by the following factors:

• System Limitations: iOS limits the number of pending notifications per App (maximum 64). If this limit is exceeded, the earliest scheduled reminders may be automatically canceled by the system.
• Device Status: Low Power Mode, Focus Mode, or disabled notification permissions may cause reminders to be delayed or missed.

Please Note: This App is intended as an assistant tool only. For items critical to health or safety (such as medications or perishable foods), do not rely solely on the App's reminders. We recommend using your system calendar or alarms as an additional cross‑check. We are not liable for any loss resulting from complete reliance on the App's reminders.

5. Your Rights

Because all personal data is stored on your device, you may exercise your rights directly as follows:

• Access / Correction: View, edit, or delete your item entries directly within the App.
• Data Deletion: Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data. Data stored in iCloud must be managed by logging into your iCloud account.
• Opt‑Out of Analytics: You may disable data tracking permissions for the App in your device's system settings (e.g., iOS "Allow Apps to Request to Track").

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the App via pop‑up or similar means and, where required by law, obtain your explicit consent.

7. About Third‑Party Services

The App integrates the following third‑party services:

• Firebase Analytics: Usage statistics and analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reporting
• Firebase Remote Config: Remote configuration management
• Google ML Kit: On‑device text recognition
• RevenueCat: Subscription management
